Serenity in His Arms is a women’s devotional I have written that I am working through editing and preparing for print. I wrote the base of this book years ago. Sitting in my quiet time with Jesus, I started to write. I wrote out my prayers, and more often than not, those prayers took the form of poems. I didn’t write this thinking it would be anything but a conversation between me and the Lord. 

Through all the changes in my life, I continued to write, and when I looked back at the old poems I had written, I could see the changes and lessons Christ had made in my relationship with Him. I had grown, and the presence of God could be seen like a shadow throughout my life. Even the times I had been crying out to Him, looking back, He had been right there, waiting for me to see the whispered lessons He was setting for me. 

So, why a devotional? I know I am not alone. I know there are so many women out there crying out to God. Because here’s the truth; even when life doesn’t have these life altering, shout from the rooftop lessons, we are living in a fallen world, and the doubts, hard seasons, and crises we feel are real. None of those things have to mean that we have a weak faith, or that we doubt God. 

The hard seasons, the learning, the constant feeling that things in this world are not how they should be are all a part of the life God promised us we would lead as believers. This world is not our home, but there is real work to be done here. The presence of our God is all around us. His hand is in every crevice of beauty in this world, and in Serenity in His Arms, I journey through hearing those whispers from God, seeing that Artist’s hand, and resting in the promises He’s left for us in Scripture. 

Serenity in His Arms is a tool to bring you back to the Word. It’s a reminder to rest in the promises of God. It is my heart on display to help you realize that all your insecurities, all your doubts, and the searching you’re doing you are not alone in. Whether you are meeting Jesus for the first time, or you have followed Him all your life, you will face seasons of falling to your knees, praying for an answer. Serenity in His Arms is written to help you have the Scriptures you need to look to Jesus in those moments. 

Here is one of the days from Serenity in His Arms. This book has always been close to my heart because my faith journey is riddled throughout its pages. So, if anything else, this book is going to be a testimony of God’s faithfulness through my life. Let me never forget the quiet whispers of love that have never left my side, and the promise of Heaven now written on my heart.
